“I created Loam Wellness because I believe that healing and growth happen when we reconnect with our bodies, trust our intuition, and give ourselves permission to thrive—on our own terms.”
Hi, I’m Anthea.
Wellness Coach | Movement specialist | lover of forest walks and soulful chats
With a background in corporate leadership, yoga, and wellness coaching, my path has been shaped by both personal healing and a passion for guiding others toward meaningful transformation.
I’ve worked with women who feel stuck, stretched thin, or unsure how to care for themselves in a way that actually lasts. I help them reconnect with their bodies, rewrite self-sabotaging patterns, and create rhythms that feel grounded, nourishing, and real.
My coaching style is compassionate, intuitive, and deeply personalized. I combine behavior change tools with movement, mindset, and lifestyle science to help you feel strong, clear, and empowered from the inside out.
My mission is to guide you back to your true self - so you can live with vitality, personal power, and unwavering self-love.
I am dedicated to supporting you every step of the way.
What I know to be true is this: negative self-talk—rooted in fear—keeps us from living authentically and creates unnecessary suffering.
I’ve experienced this firsthand. Years of inner criticism and self-doubt held me back, dimmed my joy, and made me feel small. But through my own healing journey, I discovered that transformation is possible.
With time, support, and intentional practices, I broke free from the grip of fear and began embracing a more empowered, joyful version of myself.
Now, I’m passionate about helping others do the same.
I work with heart-led individuals who are ready to heal and move beyond self-doubt. Together, we’ll quiet the inner critic, clear the mental clutter, and transform pain into power.
I truly believe the world needs more empowered individuals.
When we free ourselves from fear, we rise into the highest version of who we were created to be.
My approach
I believe that true wellness is about more than just what you eat or how much you move—it’s about how you feel, how you speak to yourself, and how connected you are to what truly matters.
That’s why my coaching blends:
• Science-backed strategies for stress resilience, nutrition, sleep, and strength-building
• Mindful movement practices that restore your body and regulate your nervous system
• Compassionate coaching conversations that help you reconnect with your values, shift thought patterns, and take empowered action
We start by exploring what’s no longer serving you—habits, beliefs, or routines that are keeping you stuck—and we gently replace them with rhythms that are supportive, sustainable, and aligned with your vision for a vibrant life.
Whether we’re working 1:1 or connecting in a group workshop, my approach is always rooted in grace, curiosity, and deep respect for your unique journey.

A few things you should know about me…
I Fell in Love With the Dog I Didn’t Want
I resisted getting a dog for years—knowing full well I’d be a total pushover and most of the work would fall on me. (Both turned out to be true.)
And while he is a lot of work and a bit of a handful—just as I predicted—what I didn’t expect was how much I’d want a dog. Jasper has completely stolen my heart. Our walks, our cuddles—he brings so much joy, love, and presence to my days. He’s worth every bit of the effort.
I believe in love stories—especially my own.
I met my husband backpacking through Europe after university and knew within 24 hours he was the one. A week later, we parted ways… but not before he tucked a note into a rock wall in Cinque Terre asking me to marry him.
Two years later, he brought me back to that exact spot and proposed. Twenty-two years (and two kids) later, we returned again—this time to renew our vows as a family.
We Brought Her Home—And Shared Our Family’s Heritage
I’m a first-generation Canadian, deeply proud of my heritage. My mom was from Belfast, Northern Ireland, and my dad is from Glasgow, Scotland.
Though my children never had the chance to meet my mom—she passed away suddenly just weeks before my wedding—I’ve always felt a deep desire to help them feel connected to her and the places she called home.
A few years ago, we traveled as a family (along with my sister’s family) to her seaside town of Bangor, near Belfast, to spread her ashes. Words can’t fully express how moving and sacred that time was.
Watching my children fall in love with their heritage—and hearing them call it their “homeland”—warmed my heart more than I could have imagined.gery embracing.
We Took a Leap of Faith—And Built a Life We Love
When I was 7½ months pregnant, we packed up our lives in Chicago and moved to Vancouver—even though our condo hadn’t sold yet.
It was a big risk, but we trusted our instincts and believed this was the place we were meant to raise our family. I’m originally from Toronto, so this was more than just a cross-border move—it was a return to my Canadian roots and a chance to build the kind of life we truly wanted.
Looking back now, it was one of the best decisions we ever made. We’ve built a beautiful life here, surrounded by nature, community, and the values that matter most.
